So here’s my usual routine when I arrive in Chicago for a holiday or a visit. My dad picks me up from the airport, we drive home, and I immediately greet the dog, give my mom a big hug and ask what’s for dinner. (She’s the best cook, by the way.)
This Thanksgiving, things were a bit different. When I got to the house, instead of inquiring about the amazing smell coming from the kitchen, my main question was about the crew neck shirt she was wearing. She had the softest shirt layered under a cute puffer vest and I was immediately obsessed. When fashion trumps food, you know it’s serious.
When she told me it was from Target, I just knew I needed it right then and there. That weekend, we drove to my favorite place ever (apart from Trader Joe’s, Equinox and Forever 21) and purchased this staple piece. I totally copied my mom and don’t feel bad about it at all. Thanks, Mom! You always have the best ideas.
