Hello from the most magical city, ever! That’s right… at the end of June, I packed my bags and waved goodbye to NYC. Let me provide a little context: I’ve been planning this trip for over a year. Every penny has been saved and every free moment has been spent re-learning my basic high school level French.
I’ve always been obsessed with France and all things French ever since watching this movie as a teenager. That was also the first and last time I was here. You can imagine how desperate I was to return! Honestly, everything about my journey feels serendipitous. I won’t bore you with all of the little details but just know that all signs have pointed to being here, right now. Even my name is French (and Korean, and American). It doesn’t get more perfect than that.
I’m lucky enough to be able to spend the entire month of July here. Yes, you read that correctly: ONE WHOLE MONTH! I can’t wait to sit in cafés and drink espresso, eat crêpes, study my français… all while living like a local.
