A couple of years ago, I ordered something from Nasty Gal. It was the most adorable purse with gold stars on it. (Where is that purse? I know I still have it…) Anyway, I remember being unfamiliar with the company and feeling mortified when I saw my bank statement. There it was, sandwiched between my other usual charges: Starbucks, Sephora, etc… NASTY GAL. All I could think was, OMG. I bet my bank is totally judging me right now. I promise it was just a purse! And this website isn’t inappropriate! I’m probably not the only girl who has experienced this, right? Hello? Anyone?
Fast forward a couple of years and Sophia Amoruso’s company is now “a $100 million plus online fashion retailer”. And she’s written a book! Talk about a true #girlboss.
