I’ve been on a strict budget since returning to NYC earlier this fall. And while some of the sacrifices (like giving up Starbucks lattes) have been easy, others (specifically shopping) have been truly difficult. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I like to mix pieces from high and low price points. Since I know how to splurge as well as save, I usually don’t feel guilty about buying a skirt or a necklace from Forever 21. But lately? I haven’t even gone near that store, let alone buy anything. That being said, I’ve had to get pretty creative and work with what I have. And I must admit, it feels good to get some wear out of items I forgot I even owned.
